| dc.description.abstract | Automated application deployment refers to the process of automatically deploying software applications to a target environment using specialized tools or scripts. This automation aims to streamline the deployment process, reduce the risk of human errors, ensure consistency across environments, and enable faster release cycles. In the context of this project, Puppet, as a configuration management tool, is used to automate the deployment of Denodo, Puppet would handle the installation, configuration, and management of the Denodo platform across infrastructure. Denodo is a data virtualization platform that allows organizations to integrate data from various sources—such as databases, web services, and cloud storage—without the need to move or copy the data physically. It creates a unified view of data that can be accessed in real-time by applications, enabling more agile data management and analytics practices. Puppet is an open-source configuration management tool for automating software and systems infrastructure management and deployment. Puppet uses a declarative language to specify system configuration, which it then enforces automatically, ensuring that the system remains desired. It can manage infrastructure ranging from small-scale setups to large, complex systems, making it a versatile tool for IT automation. Automated application deployment benefits significantly from tools like Puppet, particularly in complex environments involving platforms like Denodo. Automation accelerates the deployment process and enhances reliability, scalability, and efficiency in managing and operating software applications. | en_US |
